Recently I had the opportunity to experience a Yantra Mat.
I had never heard of it before, so I was a bit surprised, but it was a rather interesting experience, so i investigated a bit.
The white bits you can see in the picture below are like tiny plastic bowls, which stimulate your skin when you sit or lie on them. To me it was a rather energising experience than a relaxing one, but that may differ from person to person.
I would recommend to start with only a few minutes to begin with and than adjust times.
Generally I think the body should not be overstimulated on the acupressure points, but sitting on the mat helps me to stay alert when i need to focus and I would even say it encourages clarity of the mind.
